My Perspective.
My Signature.
My Work.

For me, design is a way to make what matters visible. With a fine sense of aesthetics and the ability to quickly grasp complex topics, I develop digital presences with depth. I combine intuitive perception with clear structure to create results that not only look good, but carry personality, attitude and impact.

Profile | Web Designer Based in Würzburg, Germany

Michelle Amthor

I'm Michelle Amthor, a freelance web designer and singer—two worlds that fit together perfectly for me because they both thrive on creativity, rhythm, and a sense of the right moment. I live and work in Würzburg and am the mother of two adult children.

I like things with soul, music, design, authentic people, clear words, good espresso, and that moment when a spark of an idea suddenly turns into something visible and tangible.

In my work, I’m attentive, direct, and quite detail-oriented. I listen closely, sort through things, ask questions, and look for the point where something truly sounds like you. Not overpolished, not generic, but genuine, recognizable and grounded in real collaboration.

Passion and Career

How I Got Into Design

Expression. Vision. Realization.

My love for arts has been with me my whole life—whether through singing or design. For many years, I performed on stage as a professional singer. Later, a new space opened up that allowed me to combine my creative freedom with structure, strategy, and visual clarity: creating individual web concepts.

Structure and Creativity

How I Work

Concept. Implementation. Impact.

Good design doesn't happen by chance—it's the result of a clear process. I work in a structured yet flexible way, keeping an open mind for creative solutions. Functionality, aesthetics, and user-friendliness are always at the center of my work.

Values and Philosophy

What's Important to Me

Clarity. Honesty. Reliability.

I am passionate about my work. Design should not only be aesthetically pleasing, but also functional, clear, and sustainable. It should convey my clients’ personalities and visions and help them achieve their goals.

Foresight and Experience

What I've Learned

Learn. Grow. Create.

Experience shapes perspective, judgment and the ability to make the right decisions. My own journey has taught me to remain open to new ideas, to consider different points of view, and to find creative solutions—both professionally and personally.

To me, good design is more than decoration. It reveals what’s already there at its core—in people, in what’s being offered, and in the attitude behind it—and finds the right form for it: sometimes calm and down-to-earth, sometimes bolder and freer, but above all clear, distinctive, and authentic.

My Clients

Who I Work For

I work with people and businesses who want more than just a pretty website—for self-employed professionals, medical practices, service providers, creatives, musicians, and brands looking to make their online presence clearer, more distinctive, and more visible.

Some come with an initial idea; others with an existing website that no longer works for them. Still others need someone to organize their content, refine their copy, streamline the design, and develop a presence that looks like them — not like a template.

What they have in common: They aren't looking for an anonymous, off-the-shelf solution, but rather a direct, well-thought-out process—with someone who listens, understands, organizes, designs, and keeps an eye on the big picture.
