A strong website isn’t just a collection of isolated parts—it needs a concept that integrates design, content, and technology from the very beginning. Not everything follows a rigid process: Some decisions evolve through collaboration and become increasingly concrete as the project progresses.

We start by gaining a thorough understanding of you, your business, and what you offer. For me, technology isn’t a step in the process that’s added only at the end—it’s part of the development right from the start. I design and build primarily directly in WordPress, which allows me to seamlessly integrate design, content, and functionality. This results in a technically sound, flexible website that works reliably and is ready for launch right from the start.
WordPress & Elementor
WordPress and Elementor Pro form the technical foundation of my websites and offer plenty of flexibility for custom design and functionality. I set up the website to suit each specific project and, upon request, can also include sections where selected content can be edited by the client later on.
Technical Facilities
I handle the basic technical configuration of the website and set up the necessary features and components to suit the project. Depending on the website, this may also include plugins, forms, and other technical features.
Hosting, Domain, and Launch
I also handle the technical aspects related to hosting, domains, and website launch as needed. I provide support in selecting and setting up hosting, register domains or transfer them to another provider, and also handle the migration of existing websites. If necessary, I also handle the setup or transfer of the associated email accounts. Before launch, I check the relevant functions and settings and ensure that the website is published without any technical issues.
Usability & Optimization
How quickly can I find what I'm looking for? Do I immediately understand where to go next? And does the website work well even when people use it in different ways? I take these kinds of questions into account during the design and implementation phases—as well as fundamental SEO measures that lay a solid foundation for discoverability.
User Guidance & Usability
At its best, good user guidance feels effortless. I design the navigation, page layout, and controls so that visitors can find their way around intuitively, quickly grasp the context, and access the relevant content without any detours.
SEO & Discoverability
A logical page structure, well-organized headings, internal links, and well-presented content all work together to create an important foundation for search engines. I take into account the essential on-page SEO basics and, depending on the project, also handle page titles, meta descriptions, image optimization, and other fundamental settings.
A Look at Accessibility
Good accessibility often starts with small decisions: sufficient contrast, easy-to-read font sizes, clear structures, alternative text, and intuitive controls. I keep these aspects in mind during the design and implementation phases and incorporate them to the extent agreed upon and feasible for each project.

A good website requires ongoing attention even after it goes live. Content changes, technical components need to be kept up to date, and sometimes new requirements arise that weren’t even on the radar at launch. That’s why, if you’d like, I’ll continue to support you over the long term, providing editorial and technical support for your website or further developing it as needed.
Editorial Support
Up-to-date content is an essential part of a professional website. Upon request, I can handle ongoing editorial management and take care of changes and additions to text, images, offers, or other content. This involves not only updating information but also ensuring that new content fits the existing website in terms of both design and content.
Technical Maintenance
I also keep the website up to date from a technical standpoint. This includes regular updates to WordPress, Elementor, and the plugins we use, as well as backups and checks of key functions. This allows us to identify many issues early on and reliably maintain the website’s technical foundation.
Adjustments & Further Development
A website can be further developed with new offerings, ideas, and requirements. I update existing pages, develop new sections or features, and adjust the design and content wherever changes have been made. The existing website remains the foundation and is expanded in a targeted manner where it makes sense to do so.
For me, developing a website doesn't start with the question of what it should look like. It starts with what it needs to convey, who it's intended for, and what people should understand or do on it. Only then do the structure, content, and design take shape.

What services are included in a website project with you?
I handle the entire process, from concept to technical implementation. This includes site structure, custom web design, content and copy, basic SEO considerations, and implementation using WordPress and Elementor Pro.
Depending on the project, this may also include image selection and editing, the creation of graphics or illustrations, and the preparation of digital documents to be integrated into the website or made available for download. I can also handle technical matters related to hosting, domain registration, migration, and ongoing website maintenance.
Which specific services make sense depends on what is already in place, what can be continued, and what should be developed from scratch for the new website.
Do you work exclusively with WordPress?
Yes. I use the WordPress content management system to develop and manage my websites. For visual design and page layout within WordPress, I use the Elementor Pro page builder. This allows me to create custom websites that can be easily expanded.
What can I carry over from my existing website when I relaunch it?
Existing text, images, and other content can be incorporated into the relaunch, provided they remain relevant to the new direction in terms of content and design. We will determine at the start of the project which elements will be carried over, revised, or developed from scratch.
However, I generally do not continue to maintain a WordPress installation created by other service providers. In the case of a comprehensive relaunch, I usually rebuild the website from scratch to ensure a clean and reliable technical foundation.
Can you also handle the copywriting for my website?
Yes. Website copy can be an integral part of a web design project. I develop the content structure, write new copy, or revise existing material, and ensure that the language, structure, and design all work together.
The scope of the text work depends on what is already available and what support the project actually needs.
What services are included in the visual design of the website?
Depending on the project, I handle image research, image selection, image editing, and image retouching, and—if needed—I develop graphics, illustrations, or other visual elements for the website. I can also design digital documents to be integrated into the website or made available for download.
Can I add content myself later?
Yes. If you'd like to update certain content yourself after the launch, I can set up the relevant sections so that you can easily add new text, images, or recurring content.
You don't work directly within the actual page layout, but rather in the input fields provided for that purpose. This allows you to keep the content up to date yourself without accidentally changing the website's design or structure.
Do you also handle domain registration, hosting, and website migration?
If your project requires a change in hosting, a new domain, or the transfer of existing data, I can handle the migration and technical setup—and, if necessary, communicate with the relevant hosting provider on your behalf.
Depending on the initial situation, this may include, for example, domain migration, DNS settings, SSL, redirects, or other technical adjustments related to the transition. We’ll determine exactly what’s needed as part of the project.
To what extent do you take SEO into account when creating a new website?
I take SEO into account right from the start—during the design, structure, and development of a new website. Depending on the agreed-upon scope of services, this includes, for example, a search engine-friendly page and heading structure, meta titles and meta descriptions, as well as the content focus of relevant pages.
The extent to which SEO optimization goes beyond this depends on the requirements and the agreed-upon scope of the project. Ongoing SEO support and specialized SEO campaigns are not part of my focus.
How do you ensure a website is accessible?
I take accessibility into account right from the start—during the conception, design, and implementation of a website. This includes, for example, sufficient color contrast, a clear page and heading structure, easily readable content, meaningful alternative text for images, and navigation that is as accessible as possible.
Which additional requirements are implemented depends on the specific project and the agreed-upon scope of services. A legal review or certification of accessibility is not included in my services.
What happens after the launch?
Upon request, I can also provide ongoing support for a website after it goes live. For websites that I have developed and implemented myself, I handle the technical maintenance, including updates, backups, and functionality checks.
In addition, I can update content, customize existing sections, or further develop the website later on if your offerings or requirements change.
How much does a website cost?
The price of a website depends on the scope and requirements of the specific project. Key factors include the number of pages, the effort involved in conceptualization and design, existing content or content to be developed, technical requirements, and additional services.
That's why I don't use fixed, standard packages for website projects. Once the requirements and scope have been clarified, I prepare a detailed quote with a fixed price for the agreed-upon scope of the project.

Additional services, subsequent expansions, or work added after the project has begun will be agreed upon separately and billed, depending on the scope, either based on a supplemental quote or according to actual time and effort.
